Since its inception, Philips products evolved from light bulbs to radio tubes, X-ray tubes, photo cells, then LEDs, and further modern electronics technology. By 1968 the SAQ complex was peopled by the CFT Philips Applied Technologies, and had NatLab moved to its present site at the Hi Tech campus 4 km south of Eindhoven. In 1991 the name of the company was changed from Philips Gloeilampenfabrieken to Philips Electronics.
